Maintenance Window Procedure

Purpose:

Establish a standard process for scheduling AD HOC Maintenance Windows which minimizes impact to any affected stakeholders.

Impact:

  • Internet connectivity from LightForce HQ
  • VPN Connectivity to LightForce HQ
  • Inter-office connectivity between machines & devices (i.e. Printers to Data Server)

Scheduling:

  • Maintenance Window Length (4x Estimated downtime)
  • Schedule Onsite personnel
  • Provide adequate notice when possible

Process:

  • Coordinate with above stakeholders to identify a time for the maintenance window and a contact person for resuming/verifying production operations
  • Confirm with MFG contact that printing has completed / stopped in the bracket printing room
  • Execute required maintenance

Return to Production:

  • Verify that users can VPN into the office
  • Validate network connectivity to the internet
  • Inform MFG contact that maintenance is complete and production can resume
