Maintenance Window Procedure
Purpose:
Establish a standard process for scheduling AD HOC Maintenance Windows which minimizes impact to any affected stakeholders.
Impact:
- Internet connectivity from LightForce HQ
- VPN Connectivity to LightForce HQ
- Inter-office connectivity between machines & devices (i.e. Printers to Data Server)
Scheduling:
- Maintenance Window Length (4x Estimated downtime)
- Schedule Onsite personnel
- Provide adequate notice when possible
Process:
- Coordinate with above stakeholders to identify a time for the maintenance window and a contact person for resuming/verifying production operations
- Confirm with MFG contact that printing has completed / stopped in the bracket printing room
- Execute required maintenance
Return to Production:
- Verify that users can VPN into the office
- Validate network connectivity to the internet
- Inform MFG contact that maintenance is complete and production can resume
