LightForce Orthodontics recognizes that use of the Internet and e-mail is necessary in the workplace, and employees are encouraged to use the Internet and e-mail systems responsibly, as unacceptable use can place LightForce Orthodontics and others at risk. This policy outlines the appropriate use of LightForce Orthodontics’s technology systems.
Any employee who abuses the company-provided access to email, the internet, or other electronic communications or networks, including social media, may be denied future access and, if appropriate, be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Voicemail, email, and internet usage assigned to an employee’s computer or telephone extensions are designed for the primary purpose of conducting company business. LightForce Orthodontics recognizes that some company approved events or activities may make use of the internet for team building or other social relations, and we encourage employees to use their best and safe judgements.
Any device or computer including, but not limited to, desk phones, smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and iPads that the company provides for your use, is company owned property and the information on these devices is considered business records. Management and other authorized staff have the right to access any material in your email or on your company computer at any time. Please do not consider your electronic communication, storage, or access to be private if it is created or stored on work systems. If you leave the company for any reason, the company will require that you return the equipment on your last day of work.
